What is FNaF?
this one is a little silly to say because most internet-dwelling weirdos know, but just in case you dont...
FNaF (or Five Nights at Freddy's if you're lame) is a first person horror game about spending five nights as a security guard at a childrens pizzaria, a la Chucky Cheese. FNaF has been a big part of my childhood into adulthood. I was 9 when the first game released, and I have never let it leave my psyche. its been a special intrest of mine for decades (2)
Currently there are 28 games in the franchise, an obscene amount I'm aware. I have been follwing every game since the first, and honestly I only really consider the first six games to be cannon. which is a tiny bit controversial because most of the fandom disregards everything after 4.
I love this game with my entire soul!! (and some remnant too) it really has shaped my tastes when it comes to horror media and art too!

short answer: 5 kids get killed and stuffed into animatronic suits cus some guy got pissed his kid died by his murder-bots.
long answer?
In 1978, two friends named William Afton and Henry Emily started a pizzeria. Similar to other restaurants at the time, theirs had animatronic animals to provide entertainment to children and their families. They started this first restaurant with two animatronics, Spring Bonnie and Fredbear. The diner was named after the latter “Fredbear’s Family Diner”.
These first animatronics were both animatronics and suits. They had a “springlock” mechanism that would fold back the hardware and make the suits wearable. However, these suits were prone to retracting to their original forms if you got too sweaty or if they got wet.
There was an accident at the original restaurant, William's son had died in a tragic case of bullying gone too far. His head was placed in Fredbear’s mouth, he was crying, and the locks had failed, crushing the boy's skull. This caused William to go over the edge.
of course im not gonna go too far into it here, i still want you to check this stuff out. please play the games or watch a lets play of them! i recomend markiplier just to understand why i love this series so much
whats your favorite game?
my personall favorite is the first and fourth games, mostly because those are the ones that scared me the most as a kid. as i get older though, theyve become my favorite games because of their designs, and how they revolutionized the indie game scene as a whole. these games have truly altered my brain chemistry
why do you like that bear so much?
honestly, ive always loved freddy. hes not only stinking cute, but all of the different versions of him are so cool.
my favorite freddy is funtime freddy. fnaf: sister location has a really big twisted metal and wiring motif. and those twisting piles of wire and metal are so cool to me. i lov funtime freddy ♡
things that bug you?
honestly some things dont make sense in this series. like for one i hate the "scott rule of cool" which is if scott cawthon (creator of this game) finds something neat, he will add it to his games. does not matter if it doesnt make sense at all he will add it.
i also really really really hate remnant and the remnant freaks (minus funtime freddy he has my entire heart and soul) because what do you mean this soul goop gives animatronics life and you are murdering kids en mass to harvest more soul goop. make it make sense scotty c
also the LORE OF THESE GAMES OH MY GOD. fnaf has some of the most confusing lore ive ever seen. none of it makes sense at times. which is why i have completly disregarded everything after pizzaria simulator. everything after that is dumb and i hate it.
favorite things about these games?
i absolutely love the character designs. from the uncanny-ness of the first game to the absolutely horrifying nightmare animatronics. god i love it all
despite its flaws, i do also really like the core themes of grief and sadness this series has. grief makes you do wild things, like recreating your child using a perfect AI of her.
